Makeup Goes BAD! - Jei for InStyle Magazine [02.03.2014]
What were these makeup artists thinking? Jei looks perfect enough without makeup... this is going overboard! Anyways, Jei still looks good in our opinion.
Do ladies really wear this much makeup during their weddings? I truly love Jei's hair in these pictures but I feel like women would prefer it if their hair looked more clean and structured instead of flying everywhere during their weddings.
I actually adore Jei's look in the picture above. However, I believe this is more of a stage performer look than a wedding look. The added shine just adds a greasy look. Her dress looks elegant but the bright colours on her face and messy hairstyle don't scream "wedding" at me.
InStyle made a great choice choosing Jei as their model but I feel like they could have done a much better job overall.

The first picture looks like she had a Nose Job. Jei looked the Best in the Special Clip of I Don't know. Let's stick to that :)

The first photo managed to make her look reasonably attractive, the second make her look like a fright; I agree with the blog post, her hair in the first clip is too casual looking and flyaway for a bridal look, and needs more style and structure. She looks stylish, but in no way formal; her hair blowing in the breeze look is attractive for a photo shoot, perhaps in an out of doors setting, but is not really appropriate for the actual wedding or wedding photos itself. The makeup is a little too light and casual as well. 7/10
ReplyDeleteThe second photo does not look like a bridal photo at all, but rather a very poor attempt at an artistic photography shoot of some type; there is no artistry in the cosmetics application whatsoever, and the lighting is very bad. Her hairstyle, however, is even worse; looking like a bad case of static-y hair, the style looks like an attempt to re-create what someone would look like if they stuck their finger in a socket. This is in no way a wedding look at all, as no bride would wish to have that extreme a hairstyle or look; it is not a photographic shoot either. The dress.....?? 4/10
